Having a clear strategy is only half the challenge. Turning it into working software and services — on time, within constraints, and in a form the people who use it actually want — is where many engagements stall. Hill Dogs Consulting bridges that gap.

We design and build solutions across the full range of deployment models: cloud-native, on-premise, and hybrid. Our work covers greenfield development, legacy system integration, and enterprise-wide refactoring efforts targeting cost, performance, maintainability, scalability, or flexibility. Our primary cloud expertise is AWS, where we work across the breadth of its services — though we engage Azure, GCP, and OCI where those platforms are the right fit for a customer’s environment.

We are flexible in how we engage. We can augment an existing team and transition work back to them, deliver a turnkey solution ready for an internal operations team to own, or work alongside other vendors to optimize outcomes across a multi-vendor environment. What we don’t do is hand off a diagram and walk away.

Throughout design and implementation we apply Agile practices with active, ongoing engagement with solution owners. Priorities shift, requirements evolve, and what looks good on paper doesn’t always survive contact with real users. We iterate with the people who will use and operate the solution — not just the people who commissioned it.

We also apply AI-assisted practices in development, testing, and deployment to improve quality and delivery efficiency. These are tools in service of outcomes, used with the same rigor we bring to every other part of the work.
